Booking & Deposits
- How much does bridal hair and makeup cost?
- Bridal Makeup is $200, Bridal Hair starts at $150, and Bridal Hair + Makeup together starts at $350. The Signature Bridal Experience - the complete package with both previews and an hour of wedding-day touch-up coverage - is $650. Full pricing for bridesmaids, hair styles and event makeup is on the Bridal and Services pages.
- How do I book my date?
- Send your date, venue and vision through the contact form, or call or text (832) 745-8914. Anie will follow up with availability and next steps - a signed agreement and deposit confirm and hold the date once you're ready to move forward.
- How much is the deposit, and when is the balance due?
- A non-refundable deposit holds your date: 40% of the services subtotal, or 30% once that subtotal reaches $650. Half of any travel fee is deposited along with it. The remaining balance is due on the day, before services begin - you're welcome to pay it in full ahead of time instead.
- What happens if I need to cancel?
- The deposit is forfeited, and nothing further is ever owed - there's no balance to chase after a cancellation. If travel hadn't yet begun, the travel deposit is returned to you; once travel has started, both deposits are kept. Rescheduling is possible, but it requires a new contract.
- What if the wedding is affected by bad weather, or Anie can't perform?
- Natural disasters, bad weather and other unforeseen events don't change the cancellation terms above. If Painted by Anie is ever unable to perform for any reason, every deposit is refunded in full.
Travel & Service Area
- Where does Painted by Anie serve?
- Anie is based in Downtown Sarasota and works on location throughout Sarasota, Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Lido Key & St. Armands, Siesta Key, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, and the greater Tampa Bay area.
- How much does travel cost?
- The first 5 miles from Downtown Sarasota are included; after that it's $2 per mile one way, rounded up to the whole mile. Trips beyond 80 miles aren't quoted as standard - those are discussed and priced individually, since flights or an overnight stay may be part of the plan.
- Where do we get ready - my home, a hotel, or the venue?
- Wherever you are. Every appointment is on location: your home, a hotel room, a rental, or the venue itself. Anie brings her full kit and sets up in whichever room has the best light.
- Do I need to set anything up before you arrive?
- Just a clean, well-lit space to work in - a spot near a window is ideal. Anie brings everything else she needs.
The Wedding Morning
- How early can you start?
- Any time - mornings included. Start times before 7 AM carry a $50 early-start fee, so a sunrise ceremony or an early call time is never a problem, just a line on the quote.
- Will my makeup and hair hold up in Florida's heat and humidity?
- Yes. Long-wear, humidity-resistant products and application technique are used on every booking, and the Bridal Makeup and Signature Bridal Experience packages both include a touch-up kit to carry with you through the day. Outdoor Gulf Coast ceremonies, beach weddings and Florida summers are the normal case here, not the exception.
- Do you stay after the initial application, or leave once we're done?
- It depends on the package. The Signature Bridal Experience includes an hour of wedding-day touch-up coverage, so Anie can stay right up until you walk down the aisle, and more time can be added at $80 an hour. Other bridal packages include a touch-up kit to carry with you instead.
- Do you build a timeline for the morning?
- Yes. Anie builds the wedding-morning timeline with you beforehand, working backwards from your ceremony time - who's in the chair when, how long each person takes, and when the bride is finished. The bride always goes last, closest to the ceremony.
Previews & Trials
- Should I book a makeup preview before the wedding?
- It's the best way to walk into the wedding day already knowing you love the look. A makeup preview is $150 once your wedding date is booked with Painted by Anie, or $175 as a standalone session before you've booked. A hair trial runs $100-$125 depending on the style, and the Signature Bridal Experience includes both previews.
- What if my hairstyle needs to survive the whole wedding day?
- Every style is built to last the day and hold up in photos. A hair trial ($100-$125) beforehand lets us test the exact style on your hair first.
- Is a preview included with my package?
- Only with the Signature Bridal Experience. Every other package books the preview separately, at the prices above.
Bridal Party
- Can you do makeup for my bridesmaids and mom too?
- Yes - bridesmaid makeup is $150 per person, and mother-of-the-bride or mother-of-the-groom makeup is $150 each. Once six or more people (not counting the bride) are having makeup done, everyone in that group moves to $120 per person, mothers included.
- What about hair for my bridesmaids?
- Bridal party hair is charged from the standard hair styling menu, per person, by the style each person chooses - $100 to $150. There's no flat per-person party rate for hair.
- Is there a minimum party size to book?
- No. There's no minimum party size and no minimum booking total - a solo bridal booking is just as welcome as a full bridal party.

- Can I book hair and makeup together?
- Yes - bridal hair and makeup together starts at $350, and the Signature Bridal Experience at $650 includes both, plus a preview of each. Event clients can pair any hairstyle with special-event makeup.
- Can you style my hair with extensions?
- Yes - extensions can be worked into most styles. Pricing depends on the type and amount needed, so extensions are quoted individually rather than included in the packages above; contact us and we'll go over it before your appointment.
- What hairstyles do you offer, and what do they cost?
- Curls or waves, $100. Sleek bun, $100. Ponytail, $120. Half-up/half-down, $120. Updo, $150. Hollywood glam, $175-$200. Bridal hair starts at $150, with more elaborate bridal styles quoted individually once we've seen the look. Full pricing is on the Services page.
Events

- What kinds of events do you do makeup for?
- Birthdays, proms, quinceañeras, galas, photoshoots, engagement shoots and nights out - any occasion worth dressing up for. Special-event makeup is $150, including luxury lashes. Every travel, deposit, cancellation and early-start term above applies the same way to event bookings.
Payment & Policies
- Do I need to sign a contract?
- Yes - every booking is secured with a signed service agreement together with the deposit.
- Who pays for parking, tolls, or venue access fees?
- You do, where they apply. Parking, tolls and venue access fees are billed on to the client; these are discussed per booking and aren't always applicable.
- Do you charge sales tax?
- No - sales tax isn't currently applied to any service.
