These terms apply to every Painted by Anie booking. The agreement you sign when you book carries the same terms - this page is here so you can read them before you enquire.
Prices are listed on the service pages and are confirmed in writing on your invoice before anything is booked. Bridal hair and bridal hair-and-makeup are quoted individually because the final price depends on the style, so those are shown as a starting price. The price recorded on your invoice is the price that applies.
A non-refundable deposit reserves your date. Your date is not held until your agreement is signed and the deposit has been received. Because the date is then held exclusively for you and other enquiries for it are turned away, the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is 40% of the services booked, or 30% where those services total $650 or more, plus 50% of any travel fee. The deposit comes off your final balance.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your booking, before services begin. You are welcome to pay in full ahead of time if you would rather. Accepted payment methods are confirmed with your invoice. Where the balance has not been received, we reserve the right to suspend or decline services until it is paid in full.
If you cancel, the deposit is forfeited and nothing further is owed - there is no additional charge and no invoice to settle. If you cancel before the artist has begun travelling to you, only the service portion of the deposit is kept and the travel portion is returned. If you cancel after the artist has begun travelling, the full deposit including the travel portion is kept. Natural disasters, adverse weather and other unforeseen events do not change these terms. All deposits are final.
Dates may be moved subject to availability and at the artist's discretion. A change of date requires a new agreement. Deposits already paid are not refunded, and the new booking is subject to the pricing in force at that time. Where we are not available for the date you ask for, the original booking is treated as a cancellation under the terms above.
In the unlikely event that Painted by Anie is unable to carry out your booked services - including where severe weather, a natural disaster, a government restriction, accident, illness or another emergency beyond our reasonable control prevents it - all deposits and payments are refunded to you in full. We will always contact you as quickly as we can and do our best to agree a solution with you.
Let us know as early as you can if the number of services or people changes. Additions are accommodated where the schedule allows and cannot be guaranteed. Approved changes may mean an updated invoice and an updated getting-ready timeline. Your invoice is adjusted to the services actually booked, and the deposit remains the only sum that is forfeited.
Services are provided on location. The first 5 miles from Downtown Sarasota are included; beyond that, travel is $2 per mile, measured one way and rounded up to the whole mile. Beyond 80 miles the standard driving fee does not apply and the trip is quoted separately. Parking, tolls and venue access fees, where they apply, are the client's responsibility and are added to your invoice. Any change to the getting-ready location that affects travel may mean an additional travel charge, which we will confirm with you before the day.
A getting-ready timeline is confirmed in advance. Start times before 7:00 AM include an additional $50 early morning start fee. Please make sure everyone is present and ready at their scheduled time - delays caused by the client's party may shorten service time. Additional touch-up coverage beyond what your booking includes is available at $80 per hour.
A preview is included only in the Signature Bridal Experience. For every other booking a makeup preview is $150 where your wedding date is already booked with Painted by Anie, or $175 on its own, and a hair trial is $100 to $125 depending on the style. The preview is where your final look is designed and agreed; substantial changes requested on the wedding day may not be possible within the time scheduled.
Please provide an appropriate, clean and well-lit space near a power outlet, and make sure everyone receiving services is present and ready at their scheduled time. Tell us about any allergies, skin sensitivities or medical conditions that could affect your hair or makeup before your appointment - this matters, and we would rather know early than on the day.
We provide professional hair and makeup services using sanitized tools and professional-grade products, and we hold to a high standard of cleanliness, professionalism and client care. Every effort is made to create the look agreed at your consultation or preview, taking into account your hair type, skin type and what you want to get out of the day.
We may photograph completed looks for our portfolio and social media. If you would rather your images were not used, tell us in writing at any time - before or after your booking - and we will honor that. Email paintedbyanie@gmail.com and we will confirm it back to you.
We sometimes work on a collaboration basis - a shout-out, a story post, a feature, a promotion or a sponsorship, in exchange for a discount, a reduced price or another benefit we agree together. Nothing is assumed: whatever is agreed is written into your booking agreement, along with the date the content must be published by. Agreed content must be published by that date and stay published for at least 30 days.
Where a discount or reduced price was given for a collaboration and the content is not published by the agreed date, or is taken down within 30 days, the discount is withdrawn and the difference between the discounted total and the full price becomes payable. We invoice that difference and it is due within 14 days. That is the only situation in which we re-invoice a completed booking.
Where a service is free or reduced in exchange for content, please disclose that clearly in the post itself - “gifted”, “ad” or “paid partnership” - in line with FTC guidance and the rules of the platform you are posting to. We do the same on anything we post about it. Both of us may use the photographs and video: we use them for our portfolio, website and social media, you use them personally and on your own social media, and each of us credits the other - please tag @paintedbyanie. Neither of us sells or licenses the images to anyone else without the other's written permission.
We use quality products, proper sanitation and recognised industry standards. While every effort is made to give you a long-lasting result, we cannot guarantee how long hair and makeup will last, because that is affected by things outside our control - weather, skin type, hair texture, physical activity, tears, perspiration, and how the look is cared for after the appointment. We are not liable for reactions arising from allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions that were not disclosed to us before services began. Where you have a signed service agreement with us for a booking, that agreement governs that booking.
