The short version: this website does not track you and does not use cookies. What you type into a form is sent to us as an email, and nothing more is done with it. Here is the detail.
Nothing automatically. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no cookie on any page of this site. We do not build a profile of you, and no account is created. We only receive anything at all when you choose to fill in a form and press send. The site itself is hosted by Cloudflare, so - as with any web host - their servers see the request your browser makes for each page, including your IP address. That is simply how the page reaches you; we have not added any tracking on top of it.
The contact form and the three quote builders send what you fill in to us as an email. Pressing send posts your details to a small handler that runs on this site's host, Cloudflare, which turns them into a plain-text message and hands it to Resend, an email delivery service, which delivers it to our Gmail inbox at paintedbyanie@gmail.com. What travels is what you typed: your name, email, phone, event date, venue or address, the services you chose, and anything you wrote in the notes box. The website itself keeps no copy; there is no database here. From that point your enquiry lives in our inbox like any other email.
The form also sends one hidden field that is meant to stay empty, and the time the page was opened. Both are there only to catch automated spam, and neither tells us anything about you.
If that send cannot go through - the handler is unreachable, the mail account is not set up, or the spam check gets it wrong - the form does not simply fail. It shows you the finished message and offers to open it in your own email program, or to copy it, so you can send it yourself. Either way it reaches the same address. If you would rather not use the form at all, just email or call us directly.
We use the details you give us - your name, contact details, event date, venue and what you would like booked - to quote for your booking, write your invoice and your agreement, and stay in touch about your date. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone except where it is needed to carry out your booking. Cloudflare and Resend are the two services that carry your enquiry to us; they handle it in order to deliver it, and they are given nothing about you beyond what is in the enquiry itself.
Enquiries arrive in our Gmail inbox and stay there, along with whatever email conversation follows. Resend, which delivers them, keeps its own record of the messages it has sent, as email services do. Client records, invoices and agreements are kept in our own business software on a private computer, not on this website. This website has no database and no login. We have not set a fixed schedule for clearing out old enquiries - if you would like yours removed, ask and we will delete it.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, and Google can see your IP address as part of that request. We do not send Google anything else about you, and we receive nothing back.
This site links out to Instagram and to Google Maps. Once you follow one of those links you are on their service and their privacy policy applies, not ours.
No payment is ever taken on this website and no card details are entered here. When you book, payment is handled separately through the payment method agreed with you. We never see or store your full card number.
This site is intended for adults booking beauty services. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Bookings for a minor - for prom or a photoshoot, for example - are made by a parent or guardian.
You can ask us at any time what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. You can also withdraw permission to use your photographs. Email paintedbyanie@gmail.com and we will confirm back to you once it is done. Note that we may need to keep invoice records for tax purposes even after a request to delete.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
